The little ute that might. Or did. or something.

The brumby, after I sold it to someone that knew what to do with it :)
Here we have one Brumby, shortly after I bought the rims.
Stopping of for a bite to eat for lunch.
Er- Super Trippers anyone?
Filth.

I had the Brumby (Subaru Brat in the USA) for a year or two. I bought it and had this vague idea of molding a vehicle that has the advantages of both a 4WD and a sedan. I did a little bit of work to the motor, exhaust, painted a few bits, plugged on some rims and spotties, more work to the motor (damn thing had an occasional miss- turned out the be the carby. Webber fixed that).

Had a wild experience with a mob in Queensland who go by the name of The Backyard Boys. They make lift kits to suit Subaru's and used to (maybe still do?) run a web forum. Anyway, long story short, the guy that was making my lift kit took my money, then took his time to make the kit. Hardly ever answered email after taking my money, and when the kit finally did arrive he delivered the wrong one. (power steer vs non). I made a big deal out of it, pissed off a couple of people, and ultimately got sick of the whole thing. So I sold the Brumby. If you want a lift kit - go see someone reputable is my advice.

The new owner cleaner 'er up, managed to actually find some 14" off-road tyres and then make them fit. A few trips fishing, and finally the Brumby got sold again.
