--The Friday Silver Casting is back, Dorothy and Barry Perkins. Please contact the club and refer to the newsletter for when Silver Casting starts back. **urgent news- Dorothy was sick last Friday. We did not hold the workshop. She should be ok for Friday but just in case please phone ahead. Thanks, Kathy- Get well soon Dorothy!

The Exhibition will be held July 17th and 18th at Ingleburn NEXT YEAR. The hall in Ingleburn has more floor space and will accommodate more sellers. We will have to work very hard to let everyone know where the exhibition has moved to. Please come to the general meeting to discuss the details. FYI it is the exhibition of the YEAR! You will not be disappointed. We have a wide variety of merchants offering gems, rocks and jewellery of all sorts. Come and see what we have on offer! If you wish to see if your favourite seller is going to be there, please refer to the homepage!

Eddie Murray has had a stroke! Our life member Eddie Murray has had a severe stroke and is in a nursing home in Camden. Her son Lyle informed us last week about her condition. She is in fair condition but unfortunately cannot remember most people as they come and go. If you do not know Eddie, she was a very active teacher for many years. She worked tirelessly with the students that would come over for lessons from Macquarie Fields High School. She was a very talented artist and we will have a showcase displaying her beautiful work at the exhibition. Her son has kindly donated most of her gem work and craft materials to our club. Thank you and our best wishes.

We have informal enamelling classes on the second Saturday of the month. You do not have to book in, just show up! At this time we do not have teacher- we are teaching ourselves. Those who took the class are helping each other in other words! Sorry this one is members only.

From Kathy: I've had my surgery and am recovering. I am told all is going well, just wish it would happen quicker! Our next workshop is working with enamelling. We have limited places. The public is welcome. Please ring me or the club to book. We will supply the enamelling powders and copper pieces. The cost of the class is $25.00 The public is welcome. More information for anyone interested in the Jewellery Workshops: Start at 9:30 am until approx. 1:30 pm. If you wish to use silver you must book in and place a non refundable deposit. The public is welcome!

All materials will be provided and the cost will be usually under $20 for members & $15 for non-members.

The general community is welcome to join in on the day. Please ring the club to book, members can write their name on the club notice board.

If you wish to use precious metals eg Sterling silver & gold-filled, please book in and please pay two weeks before the class, a non-refundable deposit of $30 towards the purchase of your materials. The final cost is calculated on the day the club purchases materials. This bracelet has a lot of material so the precious metal cost will be greater than the deposit.
