Notes on Ebenezer Stewart and Lucy Stewart (nee Wilson) ======================================== Ebenezer Stewart (1791-1832) Ebenezer Stewart was converted in early life and laboured as a local preacher until joining the itinerancy in 1812. His active ministry was spent in the Midlands and he had a particular interest in working with children. Stewart fell ill a month before he died on January 24 1832. His obituary makes reference to his numerous family. According to WrightMusic - History of Education, after Ebenezer's early death in 1832, Lucy (probably out of economic necessity) opened a private school teaching French and music amongst other subjects. Note that WrightMusic provides no source for this information.
