You may have either or both of the following happening:

Internet Explorer shows the following message

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options..."

This message appears when a Web page on your computer tries to run a script or ActiveX control. Internet Explorer blocks this activity so that you can see how the Web page functions without it.

You have the following message at the bottom on the index page

"You do not have Javascript enabled on your computer.

Click here

for help"

The active content on the main Rob's Railway Pages website merely shows the date that the index page was last updated. If you wish to see this information simply click on the warning bar in Internet explorer and choose "Allow Blocked Content"

In Firefox, go to Tools. Options, Content and check the box next to Enable JavaScript (Alt S)
