Drop-In Meditation
22nd September 2009
Monthly drop-in meditation practice sessions are recommencing at the centre on the last Wednesday of the month from 6.00pm - 6.45pm, from Wednesday September 30th.
This session is for anybody who is interested in experiencing what meditation is like, and will include both practice and short teachings in the Rigpa tradition. The sessions are also open to all Rigpa students, from those in their very first year onwards.
The meditation will be very simple and this will be a lovely opportunity for us to practice together in the sacred environment of the centre shrine.
Everyone welcome!

His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama - 2009 Australian Visit

Our future: who is responsible? 1st-10th December 2009
We are all brothers and sisters with the same mental and physical capacities, the same problems and the same needs. We must all contribute to the fulfilment of the human potential and the improvement of the quality of life as much as we are able.
We are also being drawn together by the grave problems we face; over population, dwindling natural resources and an environmental crisis that threatens our air, water, and trees, along with the vast number of beautiful life forms that are the very foundation of existence on this small planet we share.
I believe that to meet the challenge of our times, human beings will have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility. Each of us must learn to work not just for his or her own self, family or nation, but for the benefit of all mankind.
Universal responsibility is the real key to human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace, the equitable use of natural resources and through concern for future generations, the proper care of the environment.
