THE COACH
(Peter Simmons)
"We can't go on for the rest of the year promising- we kicked 16 goals yesterday and last week and we wanted to increase our scoring ability...But we just let the ball go too easily out of our forward line, we don't read off hands across our half-forward line..."

COMMENTS
The Tigers 12 year Alberton drought continues as the Tigers were brave in their 15 point loss to the Magpies.  For the second week in a row the game was played in mid 30 degree weather.

Glenelg had Port on toast at three quarter time, trailing by a slim margin and coming home with the aid of a 3 goal breeze.

After David Mitchell kicked his third goal in the second quarter it appeared that the visitors would have a handy buffer at half-time.  However, to their credit, the Magpies stole the initiative with 2 late goals, including one on the siren.

David Mitchell was kept scoreless after half-time and other than Sudjai Cook (4 goals) the Tigers lacked threatening options up forward.

After a bye in round 4, the Tigers face a must win game against their southern neighbour, South Adelaide.  The result could ultimately determine Glenelg's major round aspirations.
