THE COACH
(Peter Simmons)
"As an observer of the footy club over the past few years, I think one of the most obvious things to observers is that the club has been undisciplined on the field, at times."

COMMENTS
The Tigers were given a reality check after a disappointing 20 point loss to the Eagles.  The Bays led by 33 points at the ten minute mark of the third quarter after Jacob Schuback slammed home his fourth goal.  However, the tide turned and the Eagles kicked the next eight goals to lead by 21 points midway through the last quarter.

Undisciplined acts in the third quarter resulting in consecutive 50 metre penalties hurt the Tigers dearly and allowed the Eagles' to gather more momentum.

Unlike the first 70 minutes the Tigers lost the ascendancy in the midfield.  As a result Glenelg, defenders were no match for their opponents.  The Eagles' forwards had an unstoppable supply.

Inside the first minute of the last quarter Glenelg's fate was  sealed with a costly turn over- an intercept- which allowed the opposition to run into an open goal.

The ever improving Glenelg Football Club wasted opportunities.  The Tigers missed an opportunity to break a six year Woodville Oval drought, win four straight games and more importantly an a chance to move into the top five.
