Stereoscopic images and
How they work

|
There’s a bit of a technique to get this to work. You need to focus you eyes in front of the picture your looking at. The easiest way to do that is to put the tip of your index finger about 10cm away from the tip of your nose and roughly In the centre if the image your looking at. The distance how far you are from the image and how large it is displayed on your screen will dictate the focal length that Your eyes will need to converge at. In essence, your right eye will need to be looking at the left half of the image and your your left eye on the right half of the image. For this reason, don’t zoom the image too far or you will have to cross your eyes more. Generally if you are approximately 50cm away from your computer screen make the image on the screen is about 15cm wide. Focus on the tip of your finger while still looking at the image with your peripheral vision. Move your finger slowly towards or away from your face until you can see a third image forming in between the two sides of the Picture. If you can make the frame of this centre image the same as the ones on the sides, then you have the right focal length. Now comes the tricky part. When you can see it’s the same size as the side images flick your finger away and try to make the image clear. Give it a go. |

There are heaps of other stereoscopic images on the net if you wanna see more.
If you found those easy enough, here’s something cooler still…….
It’s a stereoscopic video. Use the same technique and you’ll see it in 3D.
