We recorded this 7 song EP in 97 (oh…so long ago). It’s still our one claim to fame. Late achieved some success with this EP but unfortunately not enough to make us multi millionaire rock stars, or ever slightly better off rock stars. We did record some legitimate sales. Maybe one or two. Most, we bought ourselves, out of the stores which provided sales figures to APRA, which were then used to dictate the “South Australian Real Chart” (In which we got to No. 4, beating “The Superjesus”).. 2 CD’s sold is’nt too bad, considering we spent 5 grand. Of course we got caught rigging the system. One anally retentive shop owner of a rating store, Andromeda Records (they’ve gone out of business now….HA. They should have let us buy more of our CD’s) got cluey to our scheme, when one of our band members (bloody Trav) bought 4 CD’s at once. Our manager at the time, Mark Winders, had to front up to the APRA board over the allegations. The consensus of the board was the Late was being quite entrepreneurial in their efforts to bolster their credibility and sales and we got nothing but a slap on the wrist. Read it here. WE BEAT THE SUPERJESUS. Unfortunately, The Testeagles released a very strong album that month and got the top spot, but, it was a really good album. CD’s are still available, but running out the door at an alarming rate (alarmingly slow that is), so if you would like to pick up a copy of this very desirable music collectors item click here. Remember……..there was only a very limited run of these CD’s and the two people that bought them are probably using them as coasters by now, so if you’re after that little something unique, something you know that no one else on your quadrant of the planet has…….this is the perfect thing. They are going for the bargain basement price of $5000. The more copies you buy the cheaper we’re prepared to let them go for. It’s the normal situation. The more copies there are in circulation, the less each one is worth. Like a Picasso painting. If you would like 2 then they will only set you back $2500 a piece. 3 copies, and your practically stealing them for only $1666.67 each. If you want the whole box….about 20 or 30 of them….$5000.
