“The music takes you places so far away you can hardly hear it” - me

The Band

Currently Kon, Checc and myself are playing in an acoustic three piece called "Better Late than never". We struggled immensely to come up with the name and it was the only one no one had any strong objections to, so it stuck. It's actually a bit of a play on words because our last band was called "LATE". Some actually disagree with the name and we've had suggestions that we should be called "Better never than Late". They could be right but they’re definitely wrong. Check out the link below, buy yourself a copy of the CD and make up your own mind.

Better late than never is comprised of an acoustic guitar (Kon), some percussion (Checc and I), lead vocals (Checc and I) and some harmonies (all of us). Recently we have acquired the services of a Bass player, namely Trav. Its a low key affair at the moment and we are in the final stages of producing a 4 song demo of covers to send out to booking agents to get us shows. We've played some gigs that we found for ourselves already, and we've received accolades and praise and our collection of panties thrown on stage is getting larger by the show. Cheech likes to take them home and wear them when Petta’s not looking.

We've all been playing since early high school. That's 18 years. We've played with other bands, but the four of us got together around 95 and decided to get out into the Adelaide music scene as a four piece cover band . Trav sang lead and played bass. Kon and I were on guitars and Checc just hit shit with sticks. Our first attempts were atrocious. We were destined to be crap with a name like "Polyfrot". Hence, we changed soon after to "Temple head"? Not much better as you can tell so still our music sucked. We started throwing in some originals here and there and decided it was time to throw away the cover songs and develop our own identity. We called ourselves "LATE". Our collaboration in Late spawned a love child named "Spiral Dive" and Kon and I both fell in love with a couple of groupie chicks that saw us play on stage, Rachael & Teresa (That reminds me....Rach wants her undies back Cheech). So, you can say that Late was a vehicle to bigger and better things. We finished up with Late around 99? (correct me if I'm wrong guys). Trav went off to the US and that was that.

Casino open mic competition.

We got to the final and then realised it was beneath us and pulled out.

Here’s a promotional shot we were thinking of using for the cover of our Demo CD.

Fuck you I wont do what you tell me!

Fuck you I wont do what you tell me!

Etc, etc.
