Many groups are involved on a day to day basis in working towards a healthy, robust natural environment in our region, not least being the environment centre itself.

The Friends of the A Class Reserve has been the key instigator is initiating a program for the rehabilitation of the reserve system that acts as an entrance statement to Margaret River .

The Cape To Cape Catchments Group has spearheaded plans to preserve and protect the local catchments of the Capes region.

The Prevelly Wilderness Progress Association has been effective in lobbying for controlled development of our coastal environment, and for dune rehabilitation work locally.

The Friends of the Cape To Cape Walk Trail have succeeded in educating locals and visitors alike, through the experience of walking the coast from cape to cape, and also through books and brochures about the walk trail.

The Organic Garden , situated between the Margaret River senior High School and the new Centre for Wine Excellence, is a fine example of a working, functional community garden.

The Margaret River Street Tree Group was established for the protection of street trees and remnant vegetation in and around Margaret River .

The Leeuwin Environment (Inc.) is a new group that has been formed to lobby for the protection of the environment in our region. Drawn from the ashes of the Leeuwin Conservation Group , it is responsible for ensuring the public, developers, and government are aware of the impact of human life on the natural environment in our region
