To Mikes Friends

Mike died at 4.30 on the afternoon of Friday 25th January in Christchurch.

He had been gradually weakening over the previous few weeks and all his family came in the last time.
A vigil and then a funeral, on the Wednesday, were held the following week.

700 people atttended.

Mike built relationships in many settings. One community had this farewell from him:
A fortnight before he died Clare Elizabeth asked that the following message be sent to the ANZ psychodrama community in which he is well loved and that he worked to build. "Mike's condition has significantly deteriorated and he is nearing the end of this life. At this stage he is not in pain. Julie, his wife, would like to send her heartfelt thanks to all those in the psychodrama community who have provided loving support to both Mike and her over the last 12 months or so. Unfortunately the time for personal communication with friends has passed. However, Mike would like to pass on this message to everyone:

' There remains in me the sure and sacred knowledge that spontaneity is the only thing that will save the world. Thank you very much to the whole psychodrama community for what you have given me over 30 years.' "
