Tool Kit
A mish-mash of slightly useful tools
Here shall be found an assortment of Javascript doohickies, mostly (and perhaps solely) things that my wife finds useful. While most husbands would perform conventional husbandly duties such as mowing the lawn, cleaning the gutters, weeding, killing spiders, fixing the car, I write Javascript.
Other people may find them helpful too. I take requests. I’m not too proud to ask for money either.
Print size calculator
As per my wife’s request, a small utility for determining pixel dimensions for different print sizes and ratios. This is specifically suited to deviantArt print options.
NOTE: This tool is in the process of being significantly updated! Check back soon. It's nearly finished now!
RGB to hex and back again
Also per my wife’s request, a tool to convert hexadecimal colour values to and from RGB. The operation is quite simple: enter the value into the appropriate field and press the button. The following syntax rules apply:
- Hex: Six hexadecimal digits (0–9, A–F). Both uppercase and lowercase is permitted, e.g.: 0f16A9.
- RGB: Three 8‑bit decimal values (0–255) separated by commas, e.g.: 255,11,126.
The Magic Factory
Still under construction...
NOTE: While the tools on this page are not meant to be Firefox-centric, they are developed and tested largely with FF’s DOM Inspector. If anything here does not work properly in your browser of choice, drop me a line. If they merely look ugly, then I shall be disinclined to acquiesce to your request.
