Dr. Ramón Pericet Cámara obtained his degree in Physics in 2000 from the University of Granada (Spain). He joined the group of Prof. Michal Borkovec in the University of Geneva as graduate student. There, he got his PhD working in nano-patterning and study of interaction forces between dendrimer-adsorbed surfaces using atomic force microscopy (AFM). After that, he worked in the group of Prof. H-J. Butt in the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (Mainz, Germany) as research scientist. He became interested in microdrops on deformable surfaces, its application in micro- and nanopatterning of polymer surfaces, and wetting phenomena. He got expertise in inkjet printing techniques and laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM). Currently, he works in the University of Granada (Spain) at the Biocolloid and Fluid Physics group, where he continues studying wettability of real surfaces, and biocompatibility of titanium surfaces to be applied in implants. His research interests are physics and chemistry of surfaces, wettability, surface micro- and nano-patterning, and biocompatibility.
