Jeffrey Schneider

Director, Head Coach and Founder of the Activa Tennis Academy Australia. Jeff has had a well rounded upbringing as a tennis player, coach and administrator. Below is a short summary of his playing and coaching highlights. Jeff is a fully qualified Tennis Australia Teaching Pro Advanced level coach and has an NSCA Strength & Conditioning Diploma. His career highlights feature: Australian Junior team Champion 1976, Singles semi finalist National Junior Championships, Australian Open junior singles 1/4 finalist and numerous State championship singles and doubles titles. Competed on the ITF and ATP tour reaching a career high ranking in the low 300s, became Nth German clay court champion in 1982 and competed in ITF and ATP events world wide for over 5 years.

Jeff has been a fulltime teaching pro for over 30 years with rare experience at both development and elite level. After a successful playing career he became Head Coach of Schleswig Holstein (Nth Germany) in charge of post junior elite development. On his return to Australia he was installed by Tennis Australia as State Coach of Western Australia and has also worked for TA as Australian Junior Tour coach taking some of Australia's top junior players on tournament tours around the world. Most notably European clay court tour with Mark Philippoussis and Andrew Illie. He has also held Head Coaching positions in Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast.

As state coach of Western Australia he personally coached junior players such as Jaymon Crabb (see ATP bio) to junior career milestones reaching the Semi Final of Junior Wimbledon, junior winner at Queens (Astrid Bowl). He later helped Jaymon reach a senior career high ranking of ATP 146 which saw him force his way into the Australian Davis Cup team. This success brought many accolades including Western Australian tennis coach of the year.

Crabby & Lleyton

Leyton Hewitt has enlisted Jaymon's expertise to help him complete his last year on tour (2015) and given him assistant Davis Cup coaching duties. In 2010 Jeff took on the role of Tennis Director at the prestigious LRC Sports club in Hong Kong during this time he coached the #2 Davis Cup player for Hong Kong preparing him for Davis Cup ties and National titles. During his time in Hong Kong Jeff was invited to Mallorca annually as guest International elite coach at the highly regarded Tennis Academy Mallorca. Prior to Hong Kong Jeff lived on the Gold Coast and was Head Coach in charge of elite junior development at the Pro One Academy. During his time at Pro One, Jeff developed some of Australia's brightest talent, including Australia's #1 junior girl and a number of International juniors including Japan's #2 junior boy U16. 

Yoko Schneider

Yoko hails from Kobe (Hyogo Prefecture) which is one of the strongest tennis areas in Japan,  Kimiko Date and Kei Nishikori both grew up in and around this tennis engine of Japan. Yoko has been a teaching pro for over 20 years and has great skill teaching young children. She has a real love for the game which helped drive her to become one of the top players in her area. She also competed in many AMT circuit tournaments in Queensland between 2006 and 2010. In 2006 she started bring Japanese tennis players to Australia so they could be exposed to our training and tournament system to gain valuable overseas experience. She soon became well known on the Gold Coast as a coach and agent for Japanese players wanting an Australian tennis experience. In 2010 she moved to Hong Kong to become a very popular coach at the LRC Sports club and became the backbone of LRC's women's A+ league team and played many local tournaments with great success which attracted invitations from many tournaments most notably the Seoul Annual Pro Am event in Korea. Yoko is the perfect coach for young children from Red to Green ball level and comes highly recommended from many members at LRC in Hong Kong! 


Ding Anton
Ding Eckstein China's ex number 1 woman on tour (before Li Na) has recently moved to the Gold Coast, ranked in the low 200's on the WTA tour she has so much experience and tons to offer our performance and elite players! Together with head coach Jeff Schneider & Anton Klaric our performance/elite junior program boasts one of the most experienced coaching line ups on the Gold Coast! Anton Klaric from Adelaide was on of Australia's top juniors coming thru SA's golden era of players growing up with the likes of Lleyton Hewitt and Alicia Molic. He attended Indiana State University a NCAA Div 1 team and competed successfully on pro circuits around the world to achieve a ranking in 700's ATP. Anton has very calm and thorough coaching style and will be a great asset to performance and elite players at Activa!
